| DRUG POLICY NCTHA’s policy is to forbid performing enhancing substances in accordance with the latest update of AERC’s Rule 13 and the Rule 13 Appendices. NCTHA reserves the right to randomly select horses competing in STC and TTC rides throughout the year for testing. A positive test taken either by NCTHA or by an NCTHA approved sport organization will result in the following: First Occurrence- obtained in any NCTHA approved sport, NCTHA shall: - suspend the offending RIDER on any horse, from all NCTHA privileges for a twelve (12) month period. - No awards, either for placing or mileage, shall be given during the year of first occurrence. - No mileage added for the HORSE, ridden by ANY rider, for the year of first occurrence. Second Occurrence (same rider) - obtained in any NCTHA approved sport, NCTHA shall: - suspend the RIDER permanently from all NCTHA privileges. - No awards, either for placing or mileage shall be given during the year of second occurrence. - No mileage added for the HORSE for the year of second occurrence ridden by ANY rider. |
