NON-SANCTIONED RIDES, NON-RECOGNIZED ORGANIZATIONS:  Members who participate in non-sanctioned, non-recognized organization rides may fill out, have signed and submit the same Placing-Mileage Verification Form in order to have the miles completed added to their horses' lifetime mileage record.

                 AWARDS and
       RECOGNITION PROGRAMS

NCTHA has two awards programs, Year-End All Around Performance and Year-End Mileage, and one recognition program, Lifetime Mileage Milestone. These awards and recognition are above and beyond those that teams can achieve in each of the recognized sports.

           YEAR-END AWARDS GIVEN

Year-End All Around Performance awards are presented to the top six scoring teams. One horse, ridden by one rider only, is considered a team. To be eligible for All Around awards, a team must have competed in, and completed, at least three (3) different sports.

Year-End Mileage awards are given to the top six horses completing the most combined competition miles, in the current calendar year, in the NCTHA recognized venues. In order to be eligible for year-end mileage awards horses must have competed in at least three (3) different sports. Horses must complete an entered event in order to get credit for the miles ridden in that event. Horses pulled during an event receive no mileage credit for the ride.

                 LIFETIME MILEAGE
              MILESTONE PROGRAM

The Lifetime Mileage Milestone Program keeps records of mileage completed by NCTHA member horses and rewards milestones, in increments of 250 miles.  Major recognition is given at each 1,000 mile increment.
